Who I am
This website is run by George Gribble, trading as Strata Plumbing & Heating. I'm responsible for any personal details you send me. If you have a question about your data, email george@strataplumbing.co.uk or call 07494 284383.
What I collect
When you use the contact form, I receive your name, phone number, postcode and the message you write. If you call, text or email me, I'll have your number or email address and anything you tell me about the job.
Why I use it
To reply to your enquiry, give you a price, arrange and carry out the work, and keep the records I need afterwards, such as gas safety records and invoices. I rely on the fact that you've asked me to contact you about work, and on my legal duties to keep certain records. I'll only remind you when a service or certificate is due if you've had that work done with me.
Who else handles it
I don't sell your details or share them for marketing. A few services handle data on my behalf to run this website:
- Web3Forms delivers messages from the contact form to my email.
- Cloudflare hosts the website. Like any web host, it processes basic technical information such as your IP address to deliver pages securely.
- Google Fonts supplies the text fonts, so your browser connects to Google when pages load.
Some of these companies may process data outside the UK, with safeguards in place as required by UK data protection law.
Cookies
This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that don't go ahead are deleted within 12 months. Records of work I've carried out are kept for as long as I need them for warranties, safety records and tax, usually up to 6 years.
Your rights
You can ask to see the details I hold about you, have them corrected or deleted, or object to how I use them. Email or call me using the details above, and I'll reply within a month. If you're not happy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
