Power flushing in Northampton

I power flush central heating systems in Northampton and nearby villages. It's £450 for up to 10 radiators, plus £25 for each extra radiator.

What's involved

  • A pump connected to your system pushes water and cleaning chemicals through every radiator.
  • Sludge and rust are flushed out of the pipes and radiators.
  • The system is refilled with clean water and inhibitor to protect it.
  • Each radiator is checked to make sure it heats evenly.

A power flush usually takes a day.

Questions

How do I know if I need a power flush?

Radiators cold at the bottom, a noisy boiler, slow-to-heat rooms or dirty water when you bleed a radiator are the usual signs.

Should I power flush before a new boiler?

Often, yes. Fitting a new boiler to a dirty system can shorten its life and affect the warranty.

Will it make a mess?

No. The work is done through the pipework, and I protect the floors around the pump.
