No hot water but the heating works
On a combi boiler, this usually points to a fault in the diverter valve, which switches the boiler between heating and hot water. It needs an engineer to diagnose.
What to check
- Check the hot water isn't switched off on the boiler or the programmer.
- Try running a hot tap at full flow. Some boilers won't fire for hot water at a low flow rate.
- If you have a hot water cylinder, check the timer and the cylinder thermostat.
- If none of that works, call me with the boiler make and any error code.
